IDEA Labs
Principia's IDEA Labs are home to the School’s student-centered, STEM-based educational program. With a wide variety of state-of-the-art tools, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and software and hardware applications, the labs (one for Upper and Middle School students and another in Lower School) provide an excellent training ground for tomorrow's innovators, inventors, and problem-solvers. Focusing on hands-on, project-based learning with real-world applications, the labs allow students to explore topics such as alternative and renewable energy, circuitry, computer graphics, digital communication, mechanics and structures, robotics and control technology, scientific data analysis, and software engineering.
